Overlooking the river Tay

What can be more relaxing than your own hot tub, for exclusive use, overlooking the river Tay? If it's romantic with your partner, with friends or after a great hike to soak your muscles.

With a woodburning stove

Norway is amongst the top 5 happiest countries in the world. Is it because of the sauna? You don't have to travel that far to find out. Our outdoor sauna has a woodburning stove, overlooks the river Tay and is for your exclusive use.

Trout & Grayling

Set in the heart of 11 acres of land encompassing a rolling paddock with 2 private fishing beats for trout and grayling for the passionate fisherman. Fishing is complementary for our guests.

Enjoy a game

After your meal if you fancy a game of pool, then simply just take the dining table top off - revealing a pool table underneath.

The Ferry

The Ferry

A piece of history

The Ferry was built in 1860. There was once an old ferryman who rowed people across the river, so they could catch their train on time. The ferry was in use until 1965 when due to cost cutting the railway line was abolished.

After 20 years of running a successful small hotel in Edinburgh and with the arrival of our first daughter in 2011, it was time for a new adventure. Happening upon Boat of Cluny we felt that we could offer an unforgettable holiday experience. With so many years experience of looking after our guests our aim is to offer you a unique holiday and fabulous memories.

Right by the river Tay in the beautiful Perthshire area, sits our stunning self catering cottage "The Ferry". The cottage is a popular destination for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway. Our 2 bedrooms, each with their own super comfy king size sleigh bed, accommodates a maximum of 4 people and 1 infant, for those who want to bring friends.

The outdoor sauna and a hot tub overlooking the river is for exclusive use.

We are situated in the heart of the big tree country, which is the home of the red squirrel. There are numerous walks and outdoor pursuits as well as quiet enclaves to enjoy the peaceful tranquillity.

We welcome behaved dogs and children to our cottage. Infants under 3 can share existing bedding free of charge. A cot is available free of charge. Children aged between 3 and 12 stay for a small percentage of the adult rate. Guests older than 12 are subject to the full adult rates.

You can book comfortably online (orange box) or if you have any further questions, don't hesitate and get in touch with us via our contact form.
